I AM THE VINE YE ARE THE BRANCHES, HE THAT ABIDETH IN ME, AND I IN HIM THE SAME BRINGETH FORTH MUCH FRUIT; FOR WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING….JOHN:15-5
Sometimes you realize as you grow, that the things you cared about are not the same. You realize as you put so much energy, into people, or situations, that these things did not matter, because Christ was not in these things. The energy and hope, and love, and even attention did not matter because these were “barren” seeds you planted. There was no way, they could produce anything because Christ was not in these things. You can let go, now, you can have peace, because unless Christ is in a situation, you realize there is “nothing” without Him.
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it. (Isaiah 25:8 KJV)
The power of God in our lives as we seek Him reminds me there is nothing He cannot do. All things are possible. Sure we cry and there are times it seems so hard. But let God speak to your heart even now and remind you of how great He is and He can change things. Even as He changes all of us to grow in His love. We see the difference. We see His love. Christ is the greatest example of this. He is love.
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Romans 5:2 KJV). http://elenasjustmythoughts.wordpress.com
Faith a beautiful thing to know who God is, and you want to give Him glory. It’s a new day folks. Is that your heart desire too? Have a blessed one….
Pride really is a pathetic spirit, that can be found in the best of us. To withhold even admission of our wrong doing, to either apologize, or to thank someone who does good for us, is pride.
To think we are better, to decide, that by not admitting our fault in a matter, or to even put ourselves in a position, where we try to hide the truth, is pride. Pride, goes against what God tells us to do.
I pray, for the body of Christ in this. I pray because, you know we all do make mistakes, but when we admit our wrong, when we see, that pride is a characteristic of the enemy, we can grow. But when we don’t that stops us. It stops our blessings, it stops our growth, it stops us from really making a difference.
When we give credit, where credit is due, by acknowledging someone, or thanking them….that ugly spirit of pride and jealousy can go. Submitting to God, in this, and resisting the enemy by not having pride, can stop the enemy. He will flee. Why?
Because the spirit, of honesty, and love, and humbleness, lifts us up. This is Gods promise. And when we do these things, we can get breakthroughs. Lets get rid of the pride, that holds us back. Lets grow, lets change, lets be the best we can be in Christ.
You know God gives us warnings throughout His word, if we can learn before He corrects us….thats growing. This is spiritual food, food for thought….
THE PRIDE OF THINE HEART HATH DECEIVED THEE, THOU THAT DWELLEST IN THE CLEFTS OF THE ROCK, WHOSE HABITATION IS HIGH: THAT SAITH IN HIS HEART, WHO SHALL BRING ME DOWN TO THE GROUND? THOUGH THOU EXALT THYSELF, AS THE EAGLE, AND THOUGH THOU SET THY NEST AMONG THE STARS, THEN WILL I BRING THEE DOWN SAITH THE LORD. Obadiah 3-4
Father, I pray, that I do not have pride. I pray, that I lay every thing at the cross, every day, every moment, and walk in a way that is pleasing to you. That pride is not my motivator, that I see the error of it. That I sense and know pride comes from the enemy. I give you permission to bring it to my attention at a moments notice, and that I can grow by recognizing it. I pray for the body of Christ in this as well. That we bring it all to the obedience of Christ, that we are humble before you and others, and we admit a fault, or we thank someone, when we have the power to do it. Lord, help us in this. In Jesus name. Amen
